THE HECHO VALLEY
La Val d'Echo, (Hecho Valley) with the villages of Embún, Urdués, Siresa and Hecho is watered by the River Aragón Subordán. The valley, along with the Ansó, Aragües and Aísa valleys, is part of the Western Valleys Natural Park and is near the town of Jaca.
The people of the valley maintain a living culture and tradition centred around shepherding and farming which have shaped the landscape. The villages of stone houses are full of life.
The valley is one of the best conserved in the Pyrenees with fabulous, unspoiled nature and scenery.
The uncrowded and pristine mountains the Hecho Valley are ideal for hiking, gentle walks, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding and canyoning. The valley has a fascinating history and culture with old traditions, ancient buildings and standing stones living side by side with vibrant cultural events and great gastronomy and atmosphere in the villages.FIND OUT MORE!
